Eric Tims’s practice focuses on employment and labor law, business litigation, and education and tort law. Mr. Tims takes a proactive approach in advising businesses, with a focus on avoiding litigation whenever possible. When workplace disputes progress to litigation, Mr. Tims is a zealous advocate in defending his clients against claims encompassing workplace discrimination and harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, and wage and hour disputes, inter alia. In business disputes, Mr. Tims is calculated and nimble in defending his clients against claims involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, shareholder agreements, and intellectual property, among other things. Mr. Tims also spends a significant amount of time defending California’s school districts against claims concerning education rights and general torts.

Prior to working at Tencer Sherman, Mr. Tims worked as an associate at Grimm Vranjes Greer LLP, where he defended policyholders in claims including, but not limited to, personal injury, premises liability, and construction defect; he also defended insurance companies in claims concerning coverage issues.

Mr. Tims received a bachelor degree in economics from Bowdoin College in 2014, where he was a member of the football team. In 2021, Mr. Tims graduated from Western New England School of Law, and was admitted to the California Bar. In law school, Mr. Tims interned for the Honorable John Payne of the Hamden County Superior Court in Massachusetts, did an externship with an employment law and civil rights firm, The Pride Law Firm, and worked as a case manager at a reputable personal injury firm, Aminpour and Associates.

Mr. Tims is a San Diego native who wishes the Charges were still in San Diego. In his free time, Mr. Tims enjoys strength training, exploring new cities, and experiencing new things.
