Jaclyn N. Laswell

Jaclyn Laswell is an Associate at TencerSherman, LLP. Ms. Laswell’s practice focuses on employment law and school district defense. Prior to joining TencerSherman, she served as an Assistant Public Defender in Pensacola, Florida, where she represented clients in a wide range of criminal proceedings. In this role, she gained substantial courtroom and litigation experience, developed effective advocacy skills, conducted hearings, negotiated case resolutions, and managed a high-volume caseload.
Mrs. Laswell earned her Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University College of Law in Miami, Florida, in May 2024, and was admitted to the Florida Bar in October 2024. She is currently practicing in California as a Registered Military Spouse Attorney.
During law school, Mrs. Laswell gained valuable experience in both civil and public interest work. She worked with Legal Services of Greater Miami on landlord-tenant matters, advocating for clients in housing disputes. She also supported the Public Guardianship Program, assisting guardianship specialists in navigating legal processes and ensuring compliance with court requirements for vulnerable populations. Additionally, she contributed to a high-profile white-collar criminal case in Washington, D.C., participating in all stages of litigation from inception through resolution.
Mrs. Laswell earned her Bachelor of Science from Indiana University–Bloomington in May 2021, majoring in Business Management and Law & Public Policy.
Outside of her legal practice, Mrs. Laswell enjoys hiking and exploring new areas of California with her dogs.
