Katherine E. Cervantes

Katherine Cervantes is an Attorney at TencerSherman LLP, where her practice focuses on employment law and school district defense. Her employment practice includes defending employers against claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination under the Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), as well as individual, class action, and Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) wage and hour disputes. Her school district defense work encompasses personal injury claims, dangerous condition of public property, student sexual assault, and FEHA employment claims.
Prior to joining TencerSherman, Ms. Cervantes practiced at Nukk-Freeman & Cerra, P.C., where she focused on complex business and employment litigation. Before that, she spent several years at Webb Law Group, where she developed her employment litigation practice across all phases of litigation, including motions, discovery, depositions, mediation, arbitration, and trial. Ms. Cervantes has served as first chair in bench and jury trials and has secured notable appellate victories for her clients.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Cervantes served as a Justice Corps Fellow at the Superior Court of Los Angeles, where she assisted pro se litigants in family law, domestic violence, and guardianship matters.
Ms. Cervantes earned her Juris Doctor from Chapman University Dale E. Fowler School of Law in 2020. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Public Affairs from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2015.
Ms. Cervantes is fluent in Spanish. She is admitted to the State Bar of California, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, and the U.S. District Court for the Central District. She is a member of the San Diego Bar Association, Lawyers Club of San Diego, and La Raza Lawyers Association.
